Please join us on our journey to bring home our son, William Andrew Graham.

William Andrew Graham was born on August 8, 2006. His name given at birth was Ivan Vladimirovich Bychkov. He was born at 29 weeks in a local hospital in Novokuznetsk, Russia. His mother abandoned him at the hospital and has not been heard from since. At birth he weighed a little over 2 pounds and was 43 cm long. He came to the orphanage in Novokuznetsk in October of 2006. To our knowledge, he is a healthy 2 year old with some mild psycho-speech delays. We now begin our journey to bring home our son who will be known as Drew.

Update Day 20

It is our last night in Kemerovo! I am so sick and tired of this place! We fly out in the morning at 7 am for Moscow. It is about a 4 1/2 hour plane ride. We have our bag packed with toys and food, hopefully enough to keep him occupied. Drew did well today. We took him to the park and he had his first ice cream! You should have seen his face! He did not love it. It is around 9:40 pm here. We have no air conditioning and it is about 85 degrees. Tim and I have only slept about 5 hours in the last 3 days. It is so hot in our room we can't sleep. Anyway, only a week to go but it feels like an eternity!! Please pray for our plane ride in the morning!! Love you guys

Tim and Laura

  1. Praying, praying, praying. Just think you've got 2 weeks down! Drew is so cute, can't wait to see him in person. Know you are loved and missed and when I talked to your mom she said AP is great...like she is living at Disney World between her and Donna's house! At least you know she is loved :o)...even if it takes a while to bring her back to reality when you get home! Love you bunches. smiles.

  2. Oh my lord, that one of him walking is too much. I'm so glad he's with you now! I can't imagine how it must've felt to pack him up in the car after all this. It's all down hill from here...

I'm in Hilton Head right now (honestly not trying to rub it in). Riding around on bikes I can't help but think of how we used to do that ALL AFTERNOON. We've gotta start coming back here. It's the bomb diggity.

Thinking of ya'll all the time. Hope your last week goes by super quickly and can't wait to see ya!

    Love,
    Kate & Seth

  5. Hey guys, Donna, AP, & Lynn are here looking at the blog. AP wanted to send you message:

"I love you and I miss you, hugs and kisses. I went to the park today with Brock. and I know Drew's going to be the party crasher. That'll be all. Bye and I love you."

That was verbatim of what she said... she's so funny.

We love you guys and miss you. So glad you're back safe in civilization!
